Welcome

From our Principal

Sandra Rosner - Principal

Welcome to the Alstonville High School website. Our school is a fully comprehensive school of 550 students, 50+ teaching and 13 non-teaching staff, located in the village of Alstonville, halfway between Lismore and Ballina, in the hinterland of the north coast of NSW. We enjoy a well-deserved, long-standing reputation as a high performing school, and pride ourselves on maximising student success by addressing the educational and wellbeing needs of each student.  We support our students' aspirations to grow into confident and creative citizens, resilient in the face of the breadth of challenges they will face throughout their lives. We provide a safe and challenging learning environment to maximise student engagement and achievement.

At Alstonville High School, we promote a positive school culture of integrity and resilience. We believe in empowering all students to achieve their best and become respectful, responsible, and successful citizens. We are committed to maintaining and extending strong partnerships across our community to benefit the students in our care. We are proud to be a vibrant hub of the Alstonville village community. These strong community links both within and beyond the Alstonville village have always enhanced the success of our students. As part of our connection to community, we proudly acknowledge that our school stands on Bundjalung land and we pay our respects to the Aboriginal Elders and the broader First Nations community living on this country.
