ARTIST STATEMENT - “A Taste of Colour”
My photography is a mixture of the genres colour and food, it took me some time to decide on what genre to do and I changed my mind many times from texture to closeup to still life, but then I made this decision. My body of work photographs all follow the same theme of sweets and fruits to give my work balance. I believe that colours are appealing to the eye and is easy to draw in attention because I’ve mostly used warm colours giving a sense of joy and happiness. The inspiration for my body of work came from a range of other photographers that have shared their work through the internet and inspired me to experiment with colour and food.
